4. Use all available holidays for court dates. Take vacation days, personal time or unpaid vacation for court appearances. Plan hearing for the early morning or in the late afternoon to minimize the interruption of work.
5. Do not say anything. Office gossip drives quickly. The fewer people know, the better.
6. Check your employee handbook this evening. Know your company’s guidelines on criminal charges. Some require immediate reporting on arrests or fees, others do not. Understanding the rules helps you to make better decisions.
