The incident reportedly occurred at the upscale Fairmont San Francisco Hotel, where authorities found her unresponsive in her room on Thursday morning, January 1st.

Victoria was only 34 years old, making the loss all the more “heartbreaking” as details continue to emerge as the investigation continues.

According to multiple reports, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. when the San Francisco Fire Department was on scene.

According to emergency responders, paramedics conducted an investigation and determined that a woman had died at the scene. It was later confirmed that it was Victoria Kafka Jones TMZ Sources.

The fire department also stated that Victoria had already died by the time authorities arrived, despite attempts by bystanders to resuscitate her.

In a statement on Daily MailSan Francisco police said: “On 1/1/26 at approximately 3:14 a.m., San Francisco police officers responded to a hotel in the 900 block of Mason Street in reference to a report of a deceased person.”

“At the scene, officers met with paramedics who pronounced the adult female deceased. The coroner arrived on scene and conducted an inquest.”

Authorities also asked, “Anyone with information is asked to contact SFPD at 415-575-4444 or send a tip to TIP411 and start the message with SFPD.”

The San Francisco Police Department and the Medical Examiner’s Office continue to investigate the case.

Although the exact cause of her death has not been publicly disclosed, authorities have stated that foul play is not suspected at this time.

An anonymous source further told the outlet, “A white woman in her mid-30s was unresponsive and hotel staff were alerted.”

They added: “Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed but the paramedic/rescue team who attended the scene pronounced her dead.”

Victoria’s father Tommy Lee Jones and her mother Kimberlea Cloughley have not yet publicly addressed the family tragedy.

The 34-year-old was born on September 3, 1991 to Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife Kimberlea Cloughley.

She was the couple’s second child and had an older brother, Austin Leonard Jones, who was born in 1982.

Victoria had a brief acting career as a child and teenager, appearing alongside her father in the 2002 blockbuster Men in Black II.

She also appeared in an episode of the legendary television series A tree hill and in the 2005 film The three burials of Melquiades Estrada.

Although she did not pursue an active acting career and later retreated from the spotlight to pursue a private life, she occasionally appeared on the red carpet with her father over the years.

She was last seen posing with Tommy at the premiere of his film “Just Getting Started” at ArcLight Hollywood in 2017.

In October 2017, Victoria was last seen in public with her father at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo International Film Festival, where Tommy Lee Jones served as president of the international competition jury.

However, records received from The post point out that Victoria had problems with law enforcement in early 2025 and was reportedly arrested at least three times.

Court documents show she was taken into custody in Napa County last April on charges of obstructing a peace officer, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of an illegal substance.

She was later arrested in May in Santa Cruz County and again in June in Napa County on charges of domestic violence, alleged domestic violence and elder abuse

Victoria pleaded not guilty to both Napa County cases and was released on bond at the time.

“This is really sad. Such a young woman… I can’t imagine the pain a parent must go through when losing a child, even an adult daughter or son,” one netizen wrote
